Why am I here? What am I to do? I have sinned. What am I to do about my sin Except we believe God’s word, we can’t even know why we exist.

Some of us are here because our parents deliberately chose to have us; others because sexual arousal led to our birth, and others because our mother chose not to exterminate us.

Students all through Western Civilization initially were taught that God created us and that our destiny could be to live with Him in heaven forever.

Now, having evolved through a transition into anti-Bible thought, so-called scientific truth, and re-introduced Oriental mystical philosophy and religion, students are led to believe in the world man makes.

A revealed thought and not much considered today, is that to have lived and not come into the experience of personal salvation is worse than to not have been born at all.

The most significant revelation from God to mankind is His Son, Jesus. The most important knowledge from God to us is His word.  Jesus said, “Thy word is truth.”  That’s a pretty important statement.  (John 17:17)

Education, as it developed in the West agreed that the Bible is God’s word; but now some who think themselves wise view the Bible as a creation of mostly unknown authors.  It is an impossible task to try and find agreement among critical Bible scholars.

The tradition of the liberal scholars is that of a new gospel that denies the divine inspiration of the Bible.

Those who disagree with this class of scholars are in likeness to Peter and John in the first century, and they are:

  1. Ridiculed
  2. Viewed as unlearned
  3. Seen as those who have been with Jesus

Why am I here? Truthfully, because God does not want me to perish; but to come to knowledge of His dear Son.   He wants me to say, “Yes” to His offer of life everlasting.

Who, in his right mind, would not say yes?

Brilliant minds exist among believers as well as liberal scholars.

“. . . Revealed things belong to us. . . “Some people receive them.   Others reject them, and many follow along without thinking.

What am I to do? The most important thing I can do, and all else is vanity, is to find the Christ of God.  He is seeking me. To find God is a given unless I resist Him.

What am I to do about my sin? Some of us are honest and are willing to confess that we have sinned; that is, not to excuse it simply because it is so rampant in the world. ‘Everybody sins’  is no more an excuse for an adult as it is for a teen to persuade a parent saying, “Everybody is doing it.”

Revealed in the most spectacular way is Jesus died to take away our sin. His life makes no sense if we take away this truth. The whole testimony of Him lies in that fact.

Everyone who knew Him told that same message: they preached the Gospel; they preached the word both Old and New.

Take it!  Take yourself to Jesus. Do it now.

Just as I Am, the song reads, “Without one plea: but that His blood was shed for me. And that Thou biddest me come to Thee. O, Lamb of God, I come, I come.”

Literally thousands have come to themselves and to the LORD following the prompting of this hymn and the Holy Spirit. This revealed thing belongs to you, reader. Your very existence was His gift. Will you receive Him?

Buddy.
